Ah Oxford, "city of dreaming spires", a term coined by the poet Matthew Arnold to characterise the harmonious architecture of the limestone townscape home to characters as diverse as Evelyn Waugh's super-effete Sebastian Flyte and Colin Dexter's drunken, argumentative Inspector Morse - and to a shoe whose legend equals theirs, the Oxford.

Oxford shoes are historically rather austere, a development of the "dancing pump" that was originally known as an "Oxonian". Many modern Oxfords have a piece of leather stitched over the toe section and are sometimes called Toe Cap Oxfords or Oxford Caps. Most designs can be classified "dress casual".

Our SELECT Oxfords are made from Calf Leather, the leather from younger hides, sourced from tanneries around the world for Quality and Strength.
Our GRADE range of Oxfords are cobbled from Side Leather, the leather from a mature hide, and selected for Utility and Affordability
